Microcurrent is safe to use on the face, neck and even the under-eye area. Water or a water-based gel will most likely be used to ensure the conductivity of the microcurrent and for comfortable treatment.

 Since there are prongs that deliver an electric current to the skin, you may feel a slight tingling sensation. There will be stimulating of the facial muscles with little amounts of vibration and this is going to be what helps to tighten the skin around your muscles. Like any facial, most say that it’s relaxing.

During your visit, expect to be asked about your healthy history, diet, and other environmental factors. You will be examined and if you’re deemed eligible for treatment, your initial treatment will start and last for about 60-90 minutes. You may experience a sensation that your hair is being pulled at the hairline, twitching, and/or a mild metallic taste in your mouth. All of which are completely normal.

How much does it cost?

Seeing immediate results comes at a price. Treatment can range anywhere from $150-$600 a session. Buying sessions in bulk, like 6 sessions, typically will give you a better discount. While it’s not always recommended by doctors, using a best microcurrent device machine for home use is always an option.
